Basically you are looking at the shape of the 2. However, the 8 is a snowman shape and the date is further from the rim.
I believe it was stuck on a foreign planchet because I can see signs of another coin in the field area
For your benefit I hope it weighs 3.11 grams. Let us know after you weigh it. I first thought it looked like a small date but the chips on the rim look like the zinc core. Something about the D mintmark doesn't look right. I'd like to see more experienced members give their opinion.
Just drop it in a small container of muriatic acid and watch it fizzle like a small alka seltzer tablet from the small areas of exposed zinc that you guys aren't looking close enough to see.
