Thanks Speedy - Found it on the site - Thanks http://www.conecaonline.org/content/jeffersonrpms1945.html
Is it common for them to look this different and be the same RPM? After looking at the photo on the coneca web site it made me wonder... The photo on the right is from the Coneca web site. Thanks Darryl
I'm wondering if yours isn't an EDS.....or something like that. The photo on CONECA is pretty nice....but I would like a few shots of the front to see it it shows doubling like yours does..... Speedy
Darryl, I've back...checking out my books.... The coin you posted on the right looks alot like 037, or even 043. Can you take a few more shots of your coin....with the lighting in different places. Sometimes when I can't get an RPM to show very good I point the light at different places and it works great! I've been looking more closely at 012 and 019 and I'm going to hold off on saying what I think about your coin untill you can post more pic's. Your coin shows signs of "both"....and with there being over 50 RPM's for this date/mint it is sometimes hard to tell what one for sure. I sometimes think that alot of the RPM's are the same, just different numbers because someone wanted credit. Speedy
I think there is a mistake somewhere! Most likely on the CONECA Top 100 list. The pic Darrly attached is from the CONECA Top 100 list on CONECA's web site. It does not match whatsoever RPM-019 in the RPM book but as Speedy mentioned looks like 37 or 43.
Here are some different shots of the Obv. 13 and 14 are pretty good to show the crack. I will work on the RPM. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv15.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv14.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv13.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv12.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv11.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv10.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv8.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv7.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee123/USS656/1945DObv6.jpg

Darryl, dang....those are great pic's!! You have the coin in hand so you can best tell us this---the last pic....#3, makes it look more like machine doubling. Does it look flat and lifeless to you, or does it still look like an RPM in person? Speedy
Thanks Speedy, - I have been thinking MD since I took the new pictures on Sunday and then even more so today. I am still learning and I didn't want to be the one to utter the words ... Have the love the detail you can see under a scope! Best Regards Darryl
