Your statement is all over the road. Mint machine operators are experts. Ain't nobody going to push them aside and operate there press. Are you guessing or are brilliant

Gave you a best answer. Mint had to pay royalties to the 4 year old that gave them this moon landing idea. R And D department didn't come up with this idea!!!!!

I don't know what you are stating based upon my statement. You're statement is kinda all over the road and not related to mine. I was simply stating that an Operation or Business has to have Revenue. This Revenue is used to pay Expenditures which includes Salaries.

Secondly I stated that one does not have to buy any companies products, including the US Mints. Although with a product in high demand and limited supply if one particular person does not buy an item it probably won't affect a sell out if one happens.

I don't know where you interpreted that press operators are pushed aside for someone else to use in that post?

  7. The $1 uncurculated and proof are also .999 silver at 26.73 grams.

  8. I talked to the mint after I placed a full order and recieved conformation. They told me that all orders for the 5oz coin are on a delated shipping and I wouldn't recieve the 5oz coin untill May. My order was placed at 12:04. You would think they would have it ready if they set a sell date. Recieved a shipping email from the mint as i'm writing this. Everything shipped exept the 5oz coin and it dosen't look like they charged me for it. Will call the mint if they're open tomorrow and post update.

Are you saying all 5oz orders or all of yours? Mine shows shipped, received by UPS and due to be delivered on 2/1.

  10. Hum. They told me all. I plan on calling. first comformation actualy showed an extra gold coin.

Yeah, they're routinely wrong at the toll free number, they're not actually the mint, they're contractors located elsewhere.

  12. I might wright the mint off and buy only on the secondary market if they mess this up. The only reason I orderd the whole set was I thought they would look good with the 5oz coin

If you received confirmation of your order(s), you'll get them eventually. I'd like to stop ordering from the mint too, but now & then I get in on some really rare issues that cost a lot more in the secondary market.

  14. I'm the same way but like the baseball coins, they eventualy come down. u can find them in 69/70 for almost the origanal mint price.

Yep, I'm just happy they're around issue price considering the high mintage. Of course the Buffalo was high mintage, yet sells for many multiples of issue price. There are many other mint issues that have done very well, you just have to get a feel (experience) for what will be a winner. Many of the recent commems have crazy low mintages, I always put away multiples of those, even though they haven't boomed yet.

  16. Maybe there doing it this way to limit the number of first strikes. Ordering as fast as I did I don't see why the wait. Anyway I'll find out when I call if i'm going to get one at all.

  17. Not open till Mon.

Yeah, good luck, they'll tell you what you want to hear or what minimizes their fault. The bottom line is the Mint runs like all monopolies, with extreme incompetence, that's why the did it the way they did.

Because even they knew it wasn't going to sell out at their premiums and didn't want to be stuck with product they can't sell so they minted a number they were 100 percent positive would sell

I think you give them too much credit.
