I was counting change in a fast food line when I came across this weird penny, I was wondering if someone can maybe offer an explanation, maybe an estimation on its value? It doesnt seem to be struck at all.
Damaged.. someone ground off the plating. Not a Mint Error. No premium. Only still worth 1 Cent By the way.. It is a Copper plated Zinc Cent.. when the plating is removed you will see the Zinc underneath. That is what you see on both sides.
1) No need to supply more pics 2)Don't get me wrong! I am new at this also. ( plus I understand what it feels like buying something- and waiting for the change just to see if you got lucky being given a " special" coin) Still, it would be more realistic to ask a question towards this forum,of what the coin you found actually is, instead of how much it worths.
