I always appreciate the advice you all give me so here I am begging for more. Which one of these would I keep?
The one on the right has a Die Break between the B and the E. It's known as a BIE Variety! http://lincolncentresource.com/FAQ/BIE.html your Cent - I would keep both since they look so nice.
That really depends on why they are being saved in the first place. The left one I would put into my Book if was better than the one I have. The Right one has a better luster. But has damage which makes it a common, minor Error. Which also is worth saving in it own right.
Is the BIE on more than just the 1954S coin? I suppose I could go research myself. Worth WAY more than I thought. Thanks again everyone.
I would keep them both, but if I had to choose, the one on the right, looks like either a really crisp strike, or possible doubling, hard to tell from the picture. Plus the patina is amazing! Nice finds buddy!
You really know your stuff when it comes to Lincoln cents paddyman98, is that your favorite coin type?
Learned something new (BIE) from this thread. Can’t cherrypick if you don’t know what a cherry looks like. Thanks to all.
