One way to purchase the ATB Quarters from the mint is to get all three (P, D, S) in the Three Coin Set. The coins come in Airtite holders. If you take them out of the presentation card the Airtites have a small amount of glue on them. I wanted to leave them in the Airtites and, perhaps, put them in a CAPS Album. I can't seem to remove the glue without damaging the Airtite. Does anyone have a clue?

Never thought of trying to remove the airtight from the packaging. Would the heat from a hair dryer soften the coin enough without damaging the coin?

I'll try that. I have plenty of replacement Airtites if needed.
    Thanks for the feedback.

I don't know. I might try that. I have plenty of replacement coins and Airtites. Would rather just take them out of the mint package.

Let us know how it turns out. Some plastics are snowflaky sensitive ... never mind.

Does anyone know if the mint uses ANY adhesive? I took a 1/4 oz gold coin out of the mint supplied capsule and it was really tight, but no adhesive.

Peanut butter generally makes a good glue remover

If you don't mind destroying the capsule, I would just forcefully pry it apart over a towel in case you drop the coins.

I think OP is describing a small amount of glue on the outside of the airtite that holds it in the presentation card.

It is supposedly safe for plastic per its website. I've never used it so I can't elaborate.

Don't use Goof Off as it will melt the plastic.
