I Picked 2 Of These 1955s/s/s Cents Out Of A Roll Several Years Ago. I Did Not Know The True Value Until The Cherry Pickers Guide Came Out. I Think They Show $65 For Ms65.
OCOPR48, If this is the coin I'm thinking of it's the Coneca 1955 RPM #001. The best way to tell is a closer picture of the Mint Mark. Rhubard
If it's the Coneca listing it is a great find. I do beleive it is. The picture is at a angle. I would value your coin at 75.00 if it's the 001. Great Find!!!!!! Great Eye's!!!!! Rhubarb
I'd say , yeah thats it. I just ran it by my " Coneca Top 100 Lincoln rpm &omm" cdrom...they look identical. Great find !!!
So you bought the CD:thumb::thumb: One must be careful observing with the naked eye. Usually I do a overlay to determine if the MM is in the correct position. This coin was at a angle that was hard to determine. I also beleive it is due to the top S being at a 5 degree angle from the bottom of the 5. Rhubarb
Rhubarb, it was a great buy, I use it constantly on the bay cherrypicking if at all possible to blow up mintmark shots..........
That is one beauty! What a great color! Congrats. Hey everyone, how we gonna top that? There is always hope. jeankay
nice pick up. the other day i got some 53-d rolls. all unc red. out of 6 rolls, i found more than 40 rps, different variations. lots of nice ones. i also got afew rolls of 7o-s. so far 4 of them are all small dates. red and unc. here afew crumy pics for now..
Just sent this and one other 1955 s/s/s to NGC for grading. I'll everyone know what the grade is later.
Nice coin. Nice find. I'd would be nice if NGC gave it a high grade, but just having the coin is enough. Bruce
I'm not much into varieties but when it's dramatic enough to see with the naked eye like yours is, I can really appreciate them. Here's one of the few varieties that I own. I really like this coin.
