Agreed, and I fully intend to add one of his pieces to my collection soon. Whatever some might think of the stuff he's making, I don't think they can argue the fact that he has profound talent.
Dan's pieces tend to be interesting and fun. Yes, I bought one of his '64-D Peace dollars. But my favorite fakes are the ones Ron Landis, formerly of the Gallery Mint Museum, used to make of the early US coins. Where else am I going to get an Eagle-on-Globe?
Here are last years medals Dan made for the Knights of the Coin Table. These are four that I'm keeping, I love the Brass Antiqued pieces.
i don't think you can counterfeit something that never existed. Read the listenings under "Shop By Category" : http://www.dc-coin.com/
In the case of the Peace dollars they are fantasy pieces. It helps me a lot to think of Dan's work as art and not money.
For people to enjoy...I guess the same reason an artist, let's say a painter, creates a painting? That's actually a question for Dan.
There is no sense for another thread like this. Do your homework and search for previous Daniel Carr threads here and the PCGS forums. There are plenty to pick from without inciting another DC bashing thread, which is obviously your goal. Some like what he's doing, some hate it and some don't care either way.
Yes it is im not gonna pay $150 for a fake peace dollar. http://www.dc-coin.com/1grabenercoinpressmedallionsaleprice-1-6-1-1-2-1.aspx
I can't tell if you are intentionally trying to troll us or not. Google him, and search for him on these forums. We've had a lot of extremely unpleasant threads and discussions about him. We don't want to talk about him again. Please refer to those other threads for more information.
