Just go ahead and show off your stuff. I for one would love to see them. I was just kind of amazed you have that much to spend on the hobby. I get jealous easy (character flaw, one of many).
Are you telling me you bought a $3,800 coin without doing any research first? You must Bill Gates then, right?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Cherrypickers Guide was first released about 25 years ago. Chris
I have the fifth edition volume 1. Can't find an older original print date. While we're on this, would this be the latest version or no?
Can you show the reverse as well? The rotated die is interesting. I think at MS63 RB you are making money on that purchase.
Well, OP.... I for one appreciate the opportunity to ogle your lovely new acquisition. It would be a joy to see what other treasures you may have. I get it though. Those of us that plunder this site daily see way more road kill change than you could imagine. Seeing a genuine treasure is such a pleasure.
We also see our fare share of trolls who, for whatever reason, find it fun to try and mess with people on here. So pardon my skepticism.
I've paid a lot more for some of the key date Morgans. And I love the Monster toned ones. I bought a 55 DDO years ago MS 64 BN for 3000.00. Wish I had that one back. But hey, I was lucky to buy gold when it was 300.00 an ounce. Mortgaged my house to get all I could get and put it all in gold. Sold it when it reached 1200.00. If you buy high grade coins, they will go up in value. I don't take anything personal. Life is too short for that. When you reach my age health is most important. I'm lucky to be in good shape for an old man.
An MS-63 RB 55 DDO in this months' PCGS Price guide ( page 48) is going for $3,750. They done you right, it's got the same number 2826 then the point grade 63. Winner winner chicken dinner
And, if prices are low now, and I think they are, if this coin becomes hot again and prices go up, it should be a nice increase in 2-3 years.
