A MS-65 goes for about $5.00. The Ted Book by RD Yeoman would help you immensely.

 

No mintmark on a 1977 means it was minted in Philadelphia. It's worth face value.

 

There is a 1944 Transitional Mint Error.
That means that there were Steel Blank Planchets left over from 1943. The 1944 were struck on them. Those are worth thousands. The Copper 1944 were made on spent copper shell casings. Yours is well circulated.

Hi I acquired a 1944 D penny today March 28th 2019, now at the bottom on the obverse side along the rim there is VDB stamped into it. I can't seem to find that anywhere on the internet do I have an error coin? - Edited -
