Why is this coin so shinny to as old and in Circulation

What does shinny mean?

 

Bright colored look at other coins in the same era how they are dull and have Aged but not this one wondering why ?

 

Maybe someone cleaned the coin.. they can get its original shine when you clean them... oh wait, you meant to say shiny

 

This coin was saved and protected. It did not circulate therefore it's shiny.

 

I have several tubes of 1973-D Lincoln cents that look like they just came from the Mint, but I've only had them for about 20 years.

I also have a very shiny penny. It’s a 1972. I’m wait a few things online about experiments been conducted to cause them yellow in color. The thing that amazes me, is that it does stick to a magnet. It doesn’t have a strong hold but it does hold. Any help? I’d greatly appreciate it

Does the post-mint plating also account for the magnetic quality @Birky noticed? I know very little about plating but I’d like to learn.
