I appreciate it, I really do think I have something here, I've been doing this for a while, at first I thought it was damaged but after close examination I've come to the conclusion that it was a die adjustment strike, ill find out tomorrow, I have a wounded eagle and a quarter with a cud error as well as a few other error coins I'm going to have checked out. I need some input for the wounded eagle, thinking about getting it graded.

I watched the video, and YES, every coin he showed is a real error, however, in all honesty, the coin you presented a photo of is not one of those.

Again, in all honesty, your half has absolutely nothing in common with the coins in that video beyond being a Kennedy half.

Stephen, do whatever you think is best in order to satisfy yourself of the facts. At this point, my best advice is to make sure you show your coins to some one you trust.

Please don't be a stranger. Please come back to Coin Talk !! with any questions you may have.
    Thanks again.

your coin is obviously PMD Post Mint Damage. not an error at all. someone ground that half down and sanded it with very fine sand paper.

something is just weird about it, its perfectly elevated, even more so than other coins and the lettering is so thick.

Ok I'm chiming in now.. Hi Stephen. I have been collecting mint errors for 34 years now. One quick look at your pictures and I can honestly say that it is just damage.
Sorry but it is not a Mint Error.

@Pickin and Grinin is absolutely correct. That is post mint damage without question. Sorry a YouTube video led you astray. That’s what we are here for. Hope you’ll come back and honestly admit when the coin store tells you the same. I also hope the members here are gracious enough to ease up and not kick you while you’re down when you do.

    @Stephen Betz
For the sake of civilized conversation, I apologize for my aggressive tone last night. They should've been better spoken. But everyone here is right. Kennedy Half, Post Mint Damage, worth 50c

I didn't have the patience, still don't and I am getting the feeling that @Stephen Betz coin dealer won't either.
I am sure the dealer will say spend them, and still won't believe.

Someone carried that coin around in their pocket for 50-60 years.

If I can make it at home, it's not an error.

Just returned from the FUN show Orlando.

OP - as posted numerous times, your Half Dollar
has been machined - it did not leave the US Mint
    like that.

I ran across a few collectors at FUN who also are
getting info on errors from on-line videos, which
contain incorrect and simply wrong analysis of
    their damaged coins.

Some even said to me "You say it's damaged because
you're jealous my coin is a rare error, and you don't
own it, so you call it damaged"

OP - it's your coin, and you are welcome to think
whatever you'd like to about it - but that doesn't
change the absolute fact that your Kennedy Half
dollar is NOT a mint error coin.

We're all sorry to be the bearers of bad news about it
to you, but sometimes the truth hurts. Hopefully you
will spend some time learning about the Minting Process
and how coins are made (and damaged/altered outside
the Mint) as you find strange looking coinage in your pocket
    change.
