I cannot figure out what is the VAM of my 1900 dollar. The date looks like it is a near-low date. To my knowledge there is only one low-near date listed on VAMWorld which is VAM 23 but I am not seeing the doubling on the date although it is possible I could be missing it. There are a lot of things on my coin that are not listed for this VAM. Unfortunately I don't have a camera to take pictures so I will have to describe the coin. Some of characteristics of the coin are:

-Short die clash going down from the front of the neck close to where the neck joins the head.

-What looks like a few very fine polishing lines around the date and many more of them on the back of the coin above the eagle and below the wings.

-Die polishing between the eagle's left wing and its neck.

-A clash between the eagle's left wing and the top part of the right wreath possibly from the back of Liberty's head on the front.

A coin dealer whom I know thought the coin is one of the 2 berries VAMs but I don't think it is since I don't think any of the 2 berries VAMs have a near-low date.

Also it looks to me that the back of the coin might have the C3a reverse on the back. My understanding is coins with the C3a reverse have the die polishing between the wing and the neck of the eagle which can be used to verify the C3a reverse so whichever VAM this is would have the C3a reverse.

Anyone know what is the VAM for this coin?

Thanks for the suggestion but I have already tried matching the coin going by the clash. The date on my coin looks like it is a low near-date. None of the clashes listed are low near dates.

I think I know now what VAM is the coin. The coin dealer I go to figured out it is a VAM 13A because it has the die marker near the eagle's right foot and it has file lines on it. I thought the date is a low near date but it is a near slanted date which is what was confusing me. Thanks anyway for the suggestions.

Yeah, I've found that myself, date placement is not always what you may think it is and to not rule out other options..
