    Show second tomorrow....
Here is #1 won from Chris Rudd today.
    Iron Age Briton
    Catuvellauni
    Tasciovanos (Ruler) 20BC-10AD
AV Quarter Stater ND Verlamion Mint 10mm./ 1.39g.
Obverse: Crossed wreaths/ ctrescents in center
Reverse: Horse Steppnhg left/ Bucranium above
    ABC 2598
Verlamion was a complex of earthen works/ dykes that are believed to have been the Catuvellauni capital, at the time where Julius Caesar defeated Cassiovellaunos in 54BC. Tasciovanos fortified it during his reign, thus probably mint center.

    Thanks!
I had completely forgotten about that auction, with all the exciting things happening in NY.
I was doing my weights and remembered that I had sent in 2 proxy bids around early December. So, I went to the salesroom auction site, and noted my bids were still winning. I ended up winning that coin, and a super rare one (4 known) from Cunobelinus. So far I got 2 1700s AV coins and 3 ancients= 3-2 for ancients. With me selling my banknote collection, I will have an extra 60K for coins. My goal for 2019 is to have a really great year for coins. I will post the second coin tomorrow.

Very nice coin. I’ve got a pre-Roman British coin on my wish list for this year. I have several antiquities (fibulae and seals) from the ruins of Roman Verulamium.

You should check out Chris Rudd e-auctions. They have one on sixbid every couple of months. They are super nice to deal with, and coins are guaranteed 100 percent genuine.
