81 nickel

    this nickel is smaller has no rim the top of the date and some lettering are cut off . could it be the wrong planchet.also notice how the I over lapes the n in cents . thumbnailENSY9GUFnickel 3.jpg thumbnailVNM01EV1nickel5.jpg thumbnailKFUCO5U3nickel.jpg thumbnailYHE90UD9nickel1.jpg it is also very gray in color but in very fine condition

    Not really. It's damage. Lools like it could of been caught in a clothes dryer. Between the Drum and the wall. They are called dryer coins.
    Not on wrong Planchet. Not a Mint Error.

    how do you explain the I over lapping the n in united is that normal ?
