@HoledandCreative Just when I think I've seen it all, you post these two
gems. That 1856 FE is amazing. The fact that the "6" in the date is showing
is important in proving that it is a key date. The 1955 DD just about floored
me. The history of the Double Die was almost immediately known. At that
time the notoriety of the variety had not soaked in since this pieced was "holed"
grading AU+/ BU. I have a request, do you have a Capped Bust Quarter in
your collection? I always liked that series but never collected it. I can't
wait to see what you show us next. Thank you for sharing.

@talerman Yes, that should read Flanders. The 1494 Swiss Guldiner
is really nice. The dated Swiss series pre 1500 AD is on my Bucket
List. They rarely come up for auction/sale and the Swiss collectors
have deep pockets to keep them priced out of my range. Hopefully
my finances will change one day. Until then I will admire the ones
that are in other collectors collections. Thank you for sharing.

WOW...just noticed for the first time that if you take our "normal" 4 and tilt it, you get the "bowtie" kind of 4 used previously...

@Kentucky The same can be done with the Medieval "7".

From the Gottingen mint. Only three pieces have been available through
auction in last 10+ years. There may have been others available through
dealer price lists. Till we reach the end of my collection, there will be a few
that I am proud to have, especially for their rarity and what I think superb
condition. As with this piece, some are listed as scarce, but they rarely make
    an appearance.

A groschen from the Aachen mint. This one is relatively available.
The next few are from Aachen. Of course the flan cracks are
affecting the date area. Just can't catch a break.:rage::rage::mad::mad:

Like the preceding piece, this groschen is from the
Aachen mint. Nice condition considering it is almost
    600 years old.

Another groschen from the Aachen mint. The coin is fuller,
I didn't catch the cropping during the edits.

@HoledandCreative Each post you make is amazing. Is your avatar
a quarter? Any idea what "JJMA" means/is? The two Bust Quarters
area neat. Either one a rare variety? The St. Gaudens is a stopper.
Back in the 80's there was a dealer that had a similar piece. His was
a 1927. He would bring it to shows and I tried to buy it from him.
He kept saying no. After a couple of years I noticed that it was not
in his case, he sold it to someone else.

It is a quarter. No idea what JJMA means. I am pretty sure I have very few rare varieties. I am willing but have never knowingly found any. Sorry you didn't get the 1927. I didn't get it. I would have tried to, also. Any other requests? You can tell I like to share.

@HoledandCreative I know you've posted several truly rare
pieces. Of the ones you haven't posted, post a few of your
favorites. Any colonials or do you stay with Federal issues?

I like all three, but the Pine tree is my favorite. Is there a coin that
you thought would be "easy" to acquire but it still alludes you? Do
you have opportunities to up grade since these coins are pretty much
one of a kind? Do you have many modern pieces, similar to the
55/55 Lincoln cent? OK, last question, for now, do you have friends
in specialized clubs, i.e. EAC, that offer or locate pieces for you? Thanks
    again for sharing!!

This groschen from the Aachen mint. The years 1404,1411,1412,
1419,1420,1421 and 1422 are the easier dates to obtain of the
pre 1429 coins. They come up regularly in auctions in relatively
nice condition. Make sure that the date is readable. Yes, I hope
    upgrade this one.

From the Aachen mint. This date is relatively rare. I've only seen
two pieces offered at auction in the last 18+ years.

Another 1412 from Aachen. Not bad for a
    600+ year old coin.

There are many of them. When I started to fill in the sets about 20 years ago, I thought the more modern, after 1891, would be easier to find. But they are much harder to locate as they are not nearly expensive enough to advertise, or haul to shows, or even to try to sell. So, I need a lot of moderns. I have found one dealer that buys damaged coins from banks and I get to see the holed ones and buy what I want. That helps but is very slow. I try to upgrade some but I have to be careful about the price, of course. Just like you, I imagine. I don't have all of the modern keys. I'm willing to but have never seen them yet. I have bought 3 coins from EACers. You have seen 2 of them and I don't have a picture of the 3rd one yet. I don't think I mentioned that I liked love tokens, too.
