No. I got screwed. The seller called me a crook when the thing went missing and would not even talk with me about the problem. This was in the early days of Ebay. I can't gripe too much. I bought it as a VF and PCGS gave it a 40. I'm off to the airport.
I'm curious. Was there a tracking # on the package? How about a postmark showing date mailed? Years ago the USPS dropped a parcel off for me that had been missing for more than two years, and the package looked like it had gone thru the ringer several times. The merchandise inside had remained safe, though, thanks to the eBay seller's award-winning packing job.
There must have been a tracking #. That's why the seller called me a crook. It showed to be delivered. Silly me. I should have looked in the flower garden
What prompted him to call you a crook, then? If he had proof that the package was delivered then the onus was on you to check the other possibilities. I live in a bad neighborhood that experienced a number of package thefts over the recent holidays. My nosy neighbor makes it safe for me, though, by calling me on the phone within minutes after a package is dropped off at my door. The instance I related where a parcel to me—mailed from Brooklyn NY, BTW—took more than two years for delivery also had a tracking # but did not show proof of delivery. Even then, though, if your parcel looks attractive, it may never leave the point of origination.
