How about a clip on an IHC...cost me $0.25 and the guy at the flea market said it was a shame someone cut it with shears...

Also, IHC's in Unc and near-Unc are quite expensive, but I got this one (slabbed) for $10 or so because it is "smoothed" (it also has a clash!).

Obverse and reverse die clashing on the 1865 Indian.

1863 is just a nice, original piece IMO.

Not sure why but the way I attached the files you have to click on the file to open the pic.

Yeah and Idhair put up a pic of a popper with a patent date a whole year earlier than mine, too cool! :D I have since sprayed mine gold and I wear it on my favorite hat! ;) As I remember there's a shield error on one of the IHC's but I forget the year. :(

It's still a tough date with great detail, and the one everyone dreams of. What's going on in left field under "UNITED"? (possibly stupid question, I'm not super familiar with copper)

It's stained. When I bought it the package went missing. Found the package a week later in the flower garden. It was soaked. Acetone did not help.

Oh my God. I have never heard of that before. I would have been extremely upset especially considering the value..... Did you get a refund or something???
