I've finally have no more room for pennies.Several juice jugs full. I went through and separated them by decades. Removed the wheat backs and put them in their own pile. Rolled up and cashed in the ones from 05 til now and cashed them in. It's winter and no tourists. No one wants to get repairs (don't want a scolding). I'm looking through all the rest. my question on errors is, if the stamp isn't centered, is that considered something special?
Probably a Misaligned Die Strike.. Common and nothing major. You will find a lot of early 1980's Cents with that issue.
I found a lot of 68s' like that. DRAT! There goes my retirement plan B. Plan A was to be a burden on the state. Like that's going to happen. Thanks for the info. Still looking for double dies.
Love to have several jugs to look through. Then I wouldn't have to keep playing pickup and dump with the banks.
What do you look for? Just bad strikes or are there special dates? All I've found from my seaching is errors on certain dates.
I generally look for anything 'odd' to start, then separate by year and search for known varieties. I'll keep anything 60's or older that is especially well struck, etc. I don't even consider shields but that's me. Just look at them and if it catches your eye, snag it and hold it. You can always dump it (them) later if need be.
Also, I'll keep all 82's for later looking. Check all 1992's or the infamous 'close am'. There are tons of varieties if you do a little research and some time.
