    Hey guys,

I would like to know why blueberry toning on Morgan dollars is so valuable and how valuable it is. Thank you for any help on these rarer types of toning!

Below is a PCGS MS63 1884 O Green CAC Stickered Morgan dollar. How much would this coin be worth? Thanks!

Why? So you can use the info to list it on eBay and make money off of someone else’s knowledge?

    Go do the research yourself.

People like toned coins. That makes them more costly.

The coin you show is only worth what someone who likes it is willing to pay for it. Personally, I do not think the toning is all that great. I've seen and owned many, many more that are much more attractive than that.

You want to know why, do you? Well because I'm smart and I want to make money by using my resources available so that, in the future, I can say that I started a business and earned my own money when I was in my early teens. Now let me ask you, why do you always make responses that are so awful that a lemon could make a better insult?

You are attempting to make a profit off of other people’s work without fairly compensating them.

This has been addressed to you in past threads.

If you are going to leverage the knowledge of others for a profit then you need to fairly compensate them.

Either that, or go read the sources and do your own research. Asking for the answer, flat out, is not doing the work.

Yeah but isn't this place what that's for? Also, what makes you think I would resell this coin? Obviously I will, and that's just how business works, but look at the threads in the "Recent Topics" part. If those threads asked what the value would be, you would automatically assume that they are going to resell it and they are looking for an estimate or a fair price they can list it for. And also, what is so bad about wanting to make a profit? How am I meant to compensate others? Do you expect me to say "You should check out _____ on CoinTalk because they helped me to get a value and sell this coin" in the description? I do remember being addressed about this topic that people seem to be worried about, and I do also remember people saying that they should be paid for helping. Is that what you expect EVERYONE who needs help to do? Do you want people to pay you for help that you signed up to give by making an account on this forum?

No one signed up on here to be your answer man.

If someone gives you an attribution and a fair price, and you use that write up a listing (as you have in the past) then you need to cut them in on your profit. Nothing wrong with making a profit but you need to fairly compensate those who you are using.

People do not sign up to this board to help you build a profitable business. They are here to share their knowledge, coins, and experience for others to learn. Not hand out the exact answers so you don’t have to do any work what so ever.

How would you like it if someone asked you to go work in their business for free and they made all of the profit and did not pay you a single cent? Would you continue to work for them?

Ok so how do I pay people who help me through this forum? If you tell me how, then I may consider paying people for their help, but certainly not you, because all you have given me is rubbish.

Start by determining a price for a non-toned version of the coin. After that, if you think it will be worth a premium to someone, take a shot with a price. There’s really no rhyme or reason to what premium a toned coin will bring — or if it will bring a premium at all.

I didn’t ask to be paid because I have no idea about toned coins and have not provided you with assistance.

Why don’t you ask the next person who gives you a write up and price if they want to be compensated and if they do, how you should go about compensating them. Not everything is monetary.

Dude, you are the big businessman, this is your job to figure out. There are endless possibilities, money is one of them.

Not every answer is handed to you on a silver platter despite what your generation thinks.

    $81 - that’s what it was worth

You’ve been told before, it’s exceedingly rare to flip coins from eBay for a profit. But, you are the big coin tycoon and know better.

It's too bad to see stuff like this, coming from a rook in the forum. I look up to all of you ladies and gents that know more than me and give me answers I ask for, because studying and looking into it doesn't always give me what I want to hear or learn. I'd gladly share the wealth if one of the few Sensei's, you know who you are, gave me the right advice and I did decide to sell anything. I'm only 10% if that, through what I aquired and I can't wait til one of them give me the "Go" on a coin or tell me I actually have something unlike what I've posted. When that day comes, I can't wait to ask for that person's wire info to send them a thank you. Good luck gents and respect to all of you whether you've chimed in on my 2 cent posts or not. All the best to everyone who is involved and has passion for the exact same industry and website forum.

Slow down, Easy Frankie, the kiddo is just trying to make a profit here.
We all know coins are a gamble, It's much easier when you take the collectors approach. (shrugging shoulders)

A few times is not an issue, everyone needs a little guidance, but this is constant with him and it’s always the same question. “What’s the premium for toning?”. He’s been addressed by others that his approach is not helping his cause.

Thinking you can build a business by having someone (or a group of people) doing all the legwork for free is no way to build a successful business.

I tend to come off harsh but better to learn reality early.

It depends on what someone is willing to pay. I won't pay extra, and actually avoid fhem - not attractive to me.
