I picked up halves from 3 banks today:

2 mwrs (both MS 71D again)
    1 cwr (nothing of interest)
    1 loose (clad)
$500 bag of mwrs (doubtful it holds anything decent because they haven’t in the past)

I dislike the local bags of mwrs so I’m not in a hurry to search them :hungover:

I don't see a lot of halves in my town.
I made a mistake and told Trish if she wanted pennies on Monday I could do it. I only have 16 rolls to go.
Hilight recently was a decent 44P.

The 4 ender box I posted yesterday turned out to be a 5 ender (missed a reverse ender, lol). Anyway, this was a fantastic box. Not a Dream Box, but my best ever! The wife and I had a great time opening the rolls together, only 5 of the rolls were skunks. Total haul was 71 silver (18 x 90%ers). Here’s the breakdown:
    • 1 x Walker (1945)
    • 8 x Franklins (54-D, 57-D, 60-D, 61-D, 62-D, 3 x 63-D)
    • 6 x 64
    • 3 x 64-D
    • 5 x 65
    • 7 x 66
    • 17 x 67
    • 18 x 68-D
    • 6 x 69-D

It also had a reverse 1972-D toner and a handful of 2002+ NIFCs. I think this was the only box at my main bank. When I asked my favorite teller for halves, she didn’t have any at her station. But the Branch Manager, who I have given coins to in the past, overheard me and said he had a box in the vault which he sold to me wishing me “good luck!”. I’m going back tomorrow to see if there is another box by chance still in the vault as this box was good from one end to the other!

    $50 CWR Cents: 41-D, 45, 47 (x2), 50-D, 51-D, 52, 53, 56, 57-D, 823 coppers

$126 CWR Nickels: skunked for silver, 30 average circulated coins dated 38-59

    $360 CWR Dimes: 50, 64-D (x2)

The two '47 wheats had a nice bit of shine on them. And one of the nickels had some kind of damage to the reverse that I haven't been able to identify. Ideas?

@AllCoExpat I like that you routinely search rolls. I am guessing the nickel was once part of a piece of jewelry or decoration, so it has solder on it.

Picked up a partial Loomis box ($350) from the same branch that had the 71 silvers in it Saturday. Hoping it will be the companion box to the collection dump! To cover my bases, I also managed to buy a full Loomis box from the same bank but different branch here in town. I’m pretty sure the collection extended to more than the one box, Hope I corralled it!:D

PS...when I dumped the halves in the coin counter at the bank it spit out a 1966 that I missed....first one I ever missed, but the edge looked ALMOST identical to a CuNi clad...I also picked up a dime box and pulled a 1964

I'd really like to know something...Of those of you who search half boxes, how many get Loomis boxes with yellow wrappers...and for those who do what sort of yields are you getting? All responses appreciated.

I have gotten 2 different types of yellow wrappers in Loomis boxes, NF String & Sons wrappers (not pictured) & Loomis wrappers (see picture). Typically, though I get the gold wrappers in Loomis boxes (see picture). I can tell you that I RARELY find silver in the NF String & Sons yellow wrappers, regardless if they are in a Loomis box (flat rectangular boxes with no holes in the bottom - see picture) or in what I call an NF String & Sons (flat rectangular box with holes in the bottom - not pictured).
I don't believe that there would be any difference in success between a Loomis Gold and Loomis Yellow wrapper. I suspect it is just a matter of choice which color wrapper they use at the Loomis processing facility. I live where there is just one Loomis processing center for my area, and yet I get both colors. However, as I've posted before, there is a huge difference in success for me when I compare NF String & Sons to Loomis wrappers (no matter the color). Loomis wrapped boxes are far superior! I would avoid all NF String wrapped rolls if I could, but when I ask I never know what the teller will bring out of the vault - Loomis, NF String & Sons, or Brinks. :sour:

@bhh based on my experience the silver finds are completely random wrt NF String versus Loomis labeled rolls (both delivered by Loomis in my experience).
