If you're referring to mine, I got it from China, which normally is a big red flag, but I ran it by several people on here before I bought it and they all thought it seemed fine. Plus the seller didn't have the usual red flags.

On the other hand, last night I was looking for coins from the independent Hawaii and I saw so many obvious fakes from Russia.

No, wasn't referring to yours at all, it looks fine in the picture. I just didn't want to be badmouthing the sellers in (that certain country) from which I lately buy a lot of coins. I kind of tip toe through their listings, bypassing anything that looks even remotely fake. The well worn ancients mostly seem OK to me.

A friend who has some slight interest in coins asked me recently if it would be a good idea for him to buy some fake Morgan dollars from China. I told him most emphatically "NO!". The problem I see with the proliferation of such high quality fakes is that sooner or later someone will try to pass them off as genuine.

2 crowns I didn't have yet. I'm fairly certain I have the correct date on the ottoman coin

Yes - I think your dates are about right. Thedate on the reverse reads 1277 (=1861) and this refers to the year Abdul Aziz came to the throne. On the obverse above the mint mark is the figure for 2, which means the second year of his reign = 1862 (ish).

I found a fantastically toned one a couple of years ago, the dealer told me oh I forgot to put that one away, I felt like I should become disgruntled but it was Christmas.

Does it remove them or just keep them from forming?

The white will completely disappear from the surface. There might be a slight trace of the corrosion left but the coin presents much better. I have quite a few that I did the same with years ago and they do not show anything forming on them today.

I’ll second that. Wildman coins are a big part of my collection. Many of them have this same appearance. Nice pick up.

Just purchased, shipping from Belgium to the US:

And this one is coming from Canada. Not sure why Canada is such a hotbed for Italian coins, but it sure seems to be. Only 318,000 minted of this coin:

Well... I came up this one that I picked up a while ago, misplaced, and found again!

I just really like old Irish Coinage... love the Harp, even though the Value is Small. Just a neat piece of 213 year old history.
