1982 penny error?

    hello i came across this penny ant it looked damaged at first but then i put it under my microscope and i noticed some things like multiple strikes on the coin all over it on the obverse and reverse. IMG_20190103_181745.jpg

    Definitely Not a Mint Error... All Damage! :yack:

    It is a Copper Plated Zinc Cent with Environmental Damage.

    That's just pure DEFDAM , my friend.

    In all honesty, NCC , I wouldn't even bother looking at a coin in that condition for anything, especially not with a microscope. Under intense magnification, everything looks like something, but in reality, nothing is anything....except....damage.

    NCC, the first thing you should do is learn what you're looking for and how/what makes it happen.

    Try studying this reference material :

    Thanks , but there are many, many more members with much, much more knowledge about coins than I have.

    and Remember , DEFDAM means Definitely Damaged !!
