Hungary 5 Pengö 1930, 2 variations?

    I'm glad someone brought this up. I was going to get a hungary 5 pengo but didn't because I can't even tell the restrike from the original!

    Generally speaking, a coin of that size is going to have some bag marks. For example, the 1939 issue is quite similar, and it took me many years of searching to find an MS65 example. Typically originals top out at MS63. The restrikes should not have any bag marks; even an impaired restrike would typically not be lower than MS64. Really the only confusion is between gem+ originals and impaired restrikes, and even then there are "tells" you can look for to differentiate. It's the same way with the Saint Stephens.

    How about this one? It does have some marks, but pretty nice coin though. It weights 25,33 grams but it still not clear if the weight plays any role here or it is a simple mistake made by Krause.
