Ive heard about how some dates of buffs the 3 1/2 legs is more of a slight existence rather than absence of part of the leg. I saw these two coins for sale (first is 1926-D, second is 1927-D) and they kinda look like that. The PCGS Coinfacts images for attributed coins shows examples that look very similar:
You’re confusing the OP asking about the 3 1/2 legs with the 1937-D three legs. There is a half leg variety on a couple buffalos.
My apologies, I must have missed that. Here is the 3 1/2 leg from 1936-D. There are 3 full legs and the shadow of the 4th leg gives it the half. Hope this helps. Sorry if I confused you OP.
Thanks. It’s all good. I tend to be confused often on how to tell the 3 1/2 legs on a well circulated example. Often, I find example images from PCGS Coinfacts as shown in my original post that don’t appear to be missing anything, but they were still attributed. Maybe they use die markers bc it’s harder to tell? Anyways, thanks everybody
