I found a 1945 s penny that has been stamped behind and over lincolns head that looks like some one else face
Without photos, my best guess is that it is PMD. Someone placed two or three coins in a vice and squeezed them together to impress the image of one onto another. Look closely and if you see any part of the legend, date, etc. that is backwards, then it is PMD. Chris
If you are on your phone looking at CoinTalk and posting messages here, then you can click on "upload a file" and then "browse" to find the photo on your phone and then upload it. If you are on your desktop or laptop looking at CoinTalk, you can email yourself the photograph from your phone to your desktop or laptop and then download it to your computer. Then come back to this conversation and start a new comment and when you do, "upload a file" and then "browse" and find the photograph on your desktop or laptop and then upload it. Then we will be able to see it. I am intrigued and can't wait to see if it is like the one Larry @ldhair showed us. The things people think to do with coins. My word!! Oh! @rootintootin 55 - Happy New Year and welcome to CoinTalk! Lots of us 'old' guys and gals here and we can figure out how to accomplish the sharing of our coins. If you need any help, just ask.
Those are made post-mint by a/an artist. Not sure exactly who makes them but it's not an error. Someone else will probably know more than me
Do you mean post a picture you took? If so, right next to the "Post Reply" button, is the "Upload a File" and "More Options..." button. Choose upload a file and select "Choose File." Then it will take you to your folders when you can select whatever image you want.
how do you explain the face behind Lincolns back facing the front , it just doesn't look like a lamination problem . part of the word liberty runs across the forehead and the depression is deep . I have several coins with lamination issues and nothing close to this
I wish i could see the coin better. My poor old eyes can not make out a face looking forward with liberty running across the forehead but i DO notice what @abelincoln64 observes on the white background. HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS!!!
The face behind Lincoln can be explained as being damage (my opinion) or remnants from a lamination. It is hard for me to say for certain if it's damage or lamination because of the glare from the 2x2.
