This is a long needed upgrade for my Type Set, as noted by @V. Kurt Bellman a while back. I negotiated a sweet price imo, and then got a further 15% off on a promotion. I’ve been after a decent example for a long time. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of great Barber Halves out there, but without reaching super deep into the wallet, you end up looking through the same roached out coins. Here’s what the Halves in my 7070 look like now:
Nice coin. Actually, IMO it is nearly unbearable to wade thru the seemingly half-a-million $10-$20 G04 Barber Quarters and Halves on EBay everyday. Yours is lovely.
Thanks bud!! I feel I was exceptionally patient in looking for this coin. It’s got a great relief to the devices.
The mailman was good to me today! Got this 1839 Large Cent in VG with a little corrosion. Would have gotten here Thurs but the lovely blizzard we got here in NE South Dakota held the mail up. I've been looking for this date for quite some time at a reasonable price $23 from Empire Coins.
And I got these from Norway. I already have most of these so I will be selling them. I only bought them for the albums.
Sold my old Lincoln type coin and found this replacement 2 days later. Very happy with the switch and this one was quite a bit less expensive too so win-win
I picked this up from my local shop even though it’s an hour away yesterday along with a 1937 D Buffalo
I like their holder for top sight reading, they are decently strict on grading numerically and I wanted the VAM designation. They do all VAMS. Happy New Year
Cool honestly don’t know much about them they don’t get a lot of buzz that’s why I was curious why such a monster coin was sent that way. Where did you find that coin was it raw? did you try dipping away the black before sending in? Apologies if I’m being nosy just ignore if so!
