My best find was when I opened up my grand dads old wallet, it was upside down though, it had a ton of foriegn notes and an old lotto ticket. The most exciting thing was 110 marks! (I had gotten it from him after he died and never thought to open it)
Auction - GSA 1881 - CC. Beautiful coin. Probably spent too much. I'll have to set up a camera to get you a picture, so I can get some input on grade.
I have to say that finding this coin is the best find of the year, And most likely my life time. I am quite sure this is a once in a lifetime coin. General Motors Roller Press Cent. Got both a Franklin 1963 Cameo Proof out of a roll and a Lexington/Concord Commemorative in XF from a Teller!
My best this year was over $20 in loose change from a coinstar. Nothing rare or old, just a bunch of coins. $16 in quarters and the rest were mostly nickels. It was great!
