    Hey there all,
Thought I'd post some photos of my son's US type set after he received a new Intercept Shield book with some fun additions and upgrades for Christmas. I bought the partially filled book from @Vess1 and we had a great time combining his existing Dansco 7070 book with it.
As it stands now, it a pretty stellar type collection. A few manageable holes left to fill then things get real expensive. Luckily, my son is 8 so he has plenty of time.
    Cheers!

It's looking great! He's definitely ahead of the game for being 8.

Who retails that album, or is it a "dead product walking"? I have a 7070 to which I have added a couple of year set pages for the 2009 Lincolns and Westward Ho nickels and the modern shield cent and "Here's lookin' at you" Jeff.

There's this really obscure website called Wizard Coin Supply. Can also find them on ebay. It's an Intercept shield album with IS technology and plastic slips which cover the coins front and back. The coins need to be pushed all the way in with gloves and then you only slide the top slip so that the plastic doesnt rub across the surface. I think these are far better than a 7070 but everybody still wants the 7070.

Wizard isn't so obscure. Their website drives me buggy, but hey...

Used to drive me buggy also, but they have made some changes. Now, if you click on DANSCO albums you don't have to click each page to continue. It just keeps loading all the albums as you scroll down. Same with a lot of other items.

Were we guessing where the out-of-place coin was again? :wacky:

Great album! Since your son is only 8 years old, that looks like a lot of Birthday and Christmas gifts in the future.

Brings back memories! Except when I was 8, I started a 20th century Mexican Type set. Only took me 30 years to get every coin in mint state. :shifty: For some reason I never had an interest in US coins as a youngster. But you guys are way ahead of the curve. Congrats!

I'm impressed by the condition of the coins depicted. I've got a 7070 that's nearly complete, but a number of the coins, especially the Seated Dollars and Bust quarters, are not of the highest quality. Can't break the budget too badly...
