How far will the TPGs go??!??

    The nail yes, the sandpaper probably not. One way the mint used to dress up the satiny finish when it started to fade was to stop the press, put in a planchet with a very fine emery circle over it and then cycle the press. The emery abrasive would freshen up the finish on the die. And of course the emery circle would be embossed with one side of the ASE design. The first one that turned up back in the 80's was in a monster box and still attached to the ASE. Others have been found loose.
