I'm really not sure how many of you participate in the NGC Registry. I enjoy building sets there. I'm also not sure if you guys have seen the new registry, announced here: https://www.ngccoin.com/boards/topi...y-available-now/?tab=comments#comment-9687412 I'm curious to hear how you guys like the new Registry, which you can see here: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/ And, to give you an idea of what a set will look like, here is my Prooflike set: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/98228/
Geez where did you stumble upon the 1855 PL 1/2C? Do you happen to have a video of it somewhere? And I like the new version. Although admittedly I didn't spend much time with the old version I wasn't a big fan.
I like the look of the new registry but I don't like editing from it. I still go back to the old site for any editing. Maybe I will get used to it. By the way, do you know how to change the main registry photo?
There currently is not a way. I asked. They auto-select the picture from the coin with the highest number of points. I think eventually there will be a way to change it. I got extremely lucky. Bought it on Heritage in 2010.
Some of my sets don't have a photo. Most, close to all, of my coins, have photos so they can't use that as an excuse.
I used to have 10-12 NGC Registry Sets. When NGC stopped allowing PCGS entries to be scored I just deleted them all.
Wow...My set would be #1 As it is, mine is #8 on PCGS. Anything could be better than the old NGC registry page... So I do like it better.
I like the changes. This reminds me I need to create some more sets for Austria and Hungary. Not much competition on there.
Is there a reason why they aren't using the NGC pictures for coins that the owner hasn't uploaded better pictures for or is my browser just not loading them?
Some time after I deleted all my Registry Sets I started creating Custom Sets. Built one, pictures and all. Then forgot about it. I need to log into NGC and see what I did. Can't remember.
Just went to NGC and they've changed things (not really a surprise). But I can't find how to get into Custom Sets. I'll have to work on it more later. LATER I got into the Custom Sets using the older format. Surprise!!! I've got 4 Custom Sets. -- Braided Hair Half Cents (1849-1857) -- Braided Hair Large Cents (1839-1857) -- Shield 2-cent -- Capped Bust Quarters-Reduced Size Varieties
Just played around with the new registry, its difficult but I'm learning! I like the fact that I can add NGC photos to some of the coins I don't have pics for at the time!
I didn’t like the change either, but it shouldn’t be a reason to remove one’s set. Existing PCGS coins still have a score. Not such a big deal. Interestingly, when I open my set in the new NGC registry, it shows a PCGS coin as main registry photo ;-) https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/190377/
For US it's entirely different, but with world sets, PCGS coins shouldn't be counted with NGC in the registry. The grading for world is significantly tighter with NGC.
