First of all, merry Christmas CT So today as one of my gifts I reviewed a 2019 Red book. Awesome, haven't bought one yet so that'll be useful. A few hours later my Aunt comes to town and brings me a gift. A 2019 Red book and 2019 Blue book. A I already now have 2 2018 Redbooks from my secret Santa. So my "red/bluebook" inventory now includes -Hardcover 2018 Redbook -Hardcover 2018 Redbook -Hardcover 2018 Bluebook -Spiralbound 2019 Redbook -Spiralbound 2019 Redbook -Softcover 2019 Bluebook Too many books! -
Some of the most mundane things can become collectables and you never expect it, especailly books so if I were you I would get it signed by a famous numismitist
I don't know if you are in a club, but you can pass them along. I give out my extras all the time. The suggestion for autographs is interesting. I neve thought of that. The books have many authors, in addition to the general editor, Ken Bressett. If you get to an ANA convention or major regional like FUN or Central States, you could at least one of them autographed by several to many people.
It was just a joking type post lol. But I do like the idea of you sending it to some significant members of this forum or anybody else you have known thru this hobby that have maybe helped you out the most through your journey. Some day I would like to be on the level of some of the individuals here. That is probably what I would do with so many books unless I passed them along.
I would post a contest in the contest area, and give a couple of them away. I'm sure someone would love to have one! (keep one of the spiralbound for yourself, as that is by far the best version)
An enviable problem to have... I also like the idea of gifting the extras to less fortunate or new collectors.
I would be interested to add one or maybe a couple books to my collection since I currently do not have any books.
