I am going to take a break from posting pics for the next couple of days. Back after the Holidays, Dec. 26. I will continue to answer all questions during that time. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family!!
@wcg Thank you for the kind words. I will post more on the 26th. Are there any that are your favorites? What area of numismatics do you collect. Albert Frey's book got me started. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
@Chouca Thank you for the kind words. I enjoy collecting them and sharing them with others. What part of numismatics interests you and do you collect? MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!! I hope you are spending time with family and friends in good health. I can't wait for my grandson, 12 years old, to start opening his presents. He has brought so much joy and happiness to my life!
I mainly collect coins from the low countries and holed coins from the Chinese empire. So your coins of Namur, Liège and Brabant particularly caught my eyes.
@Choucas I have quite a few from the 1470's and 1480's that are from the Lowlands. I spent a few nights in Belgium the summer of 1973. What a beautiful country!! I hope to visit again.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Santa really took care of my grandson. Let's hope the coming New Year is good to us with our families and our/their health.
Oh, these are wonderful! I'm so glad to be finally seeing them. I was momentarily floored by the quality of your images, so when you said Todd at BluCC did them, it all made sense. I've had the Levinson book for a decade, and still have yet to own a pre-1500 dated coin. 1505 is as early as I've managed so far. I think a Levinson-listed coin will definitely be on my 2019 to-do list.
Here's one that's out of my league by a factor of 10x, but I love looking at stuff like this anyway. In fact, it was my admiration for that design that influenced my purchase of this as a substitute I could actually afford.
