I recently purchased a BEP web note pack with one star. The pack I received has one star note but the star note is not a web print note from 1995 I'm just wondering if this is correct or if I was ripped off? The star note is not consecutive? Thank you 20181221_174035.jpg

Star notes are replacement notes. When a bill is damaged it is removed, recorded and destroyed. A Star note is put on the pack as a replacement for the damaged bill. The only way you will get consecutive star notes is if you have two or more bills that were defective and were replaced.

Star notes are also in consecutive order but they are not going to be in order if the pack they are replacing. They are all on their own.

Ok thank you. some reason I was thinking that the star note replacement would be the bill destroyed serial number but with a star..

In Series 1988A, web stars were used to replace web notes.

In Series 1993 and 1995, there were no web stars. Ordinary sheet-fed stars were used to replace web notes.

I'm still looking for a web note. I had one when they first came out but didn't know what it was. I saw the back plate number was not in the correct place. I just figured they made a minor design change and spent it.
Your notes look brand new, that is awesome.

Not at all but I think you've got it now.

I once heard the BEP tried this method early on and found it to be rather time consuming and discontinued the practice.
