I bought a set on ebay. only missing the 09svdb 22 plain 31s and double dies. Bought the book auction after I got this home, buy it now from the same seller. Funny most of the P and S mints are vg/vf I will post some more. i'm excited about a few of them
For those that were questioning some of the lettering on your 14-D they need to look at some of the more common ones you purchased.
Holy cow! I didn’t follow what you said about the purchase. Was it all BIN from eBay? Was this accurately priced? Because a 14-D in that condition by itself is pretty pricey for an eBay offering and I would expect that to sell at one of the well-publicized high-end auctions.
He had the 14-D BIN way too low. posted it at 6AM. He put the book up for auction the day before i received the 14-d with mediocre pics. So I had 3 days to get ready to bid. Someone else tried to snipe it too. It came close to my limit. I have been working with him to improve his listing style. Good pics, mostly auction, I graded his Indians for him. 09s ends at 3:40 today. My guess is a 15 20??
I collect early commemorative coins. I also collect the magazines, pamphlets, etc., from the celebrations:
I happily paid $1650 for this. Pop 1, only 25 finer. @Mainebill Obverse hairlines but the reverse is perfection!
These 41-D and 42-S Mercuries are both NGC MS65. However, the first has a satiny appearance while the second has blazing luster. The top one must have had freshly polished dies since the marks are all over the reverse. They are on the front, too - I like the ones that disappear under the chin. I see a couple of dings that could be holding them to MS65.
Tough to get good shots of these little coins. LM-6?? If anyone can help, I’m not positive about the attribution.
Low grade but still key dates. Didn't exactly get a good deal on them either, but what're you going to do when you are trying to fill those last few holes in the album.
Ouch. The 21P and D look to both have problems, what did you pay for those if you don't mind my asking??? You can find deals on all three of those dates if you're patient, they're not show stoppers by any means.
