Ok, I have to buy my uncle a 5,000 count bag of wheaties. We both know that the odds of finding a truely unsearched bag are next to none. But Im wondering if anyone can reccomend a good seller that I can expect to get a good mix from. And if you cant reccomend a good seller, are there any bad ones to watch out for??? I dont want to get a 5,000 count bag of corroded nasties. Anyhow, Ive never bought a 5,000 count bag so any help or info would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

i had a dealer near me in michigan that would sell them to me in the past, but i havenet been to his shop in years. I know Ebay has them from time to time, but the shipping is outrageous.

    good luck!

ebay is really annoying about this. all bags of wheats, from 1000 to 5000+ wheats are all unsearched. yeah right. we're stupid, we believe you didnt even glance at them when you shoveled them into the bag, SURE!

why cant they just once be honest and just say "we looked through these and there is nothing special to them but we think you might like them anyway just because they're wheats"????

i love wheats and i dont care if in the entire bag there is nothing special, i just want to know they wont be god awful green ugly crusty looking things that are only coins in the academic sense.

But MY bag truely is unsearched. I bought trained monkeys to do nothing but sort and count the coins. They are smart enough to recognize a wheat, but too dumb to know if it's valuable. These monkeys came from deep in the jungle in Brazilia so they can't even read English!!!!!

TRUST ME!!! Just look at my Feedback rating of 24, IT'S ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. You can also call my uncle and cousins if you need additional references. I also have a virtual store. What more proof do you need that this bag is truely unsearched.

OK fine, if you buy the bag and don't find a 1909S VDB in there, I'll give you a full refund (minus a $150 restocking fee and shipping charges).

    Okay, if not PaylessPal?
    No?
How about Payforsome, after 100% service charge payment?

If you want I have about 5,000 pieces that I found metal detecting, guaranteed original dirt.
(seriously, original dirt, I was too lazy to clean them).

I buy huge collections every week & dont take & cant take the time to look thur them ... Because just like you have stated they have been searched by some one at some point .You guys aren't dumb... & the sellers who think they are selling unsearched bags think you are.

    WOW
Thats high priced I can pick them up at the show I go to every month if the guy I buy from has any for 15.00 for 1000 of 1950"s and 18.00 for the 1940's and 22.00 for 1930's . He sells them from his car (squatter) no table:goofer:

I have found at least about 125 dates from the 1910 to 1929 in every bag
and only a few have been beat up

Try not to pay more then 2 to 3 cent for them

I'm still trying to figure out how the seller knows they are all Wheaties if he/she didn't look at every one of them.

Thanks for the offer Jon. But thats kinda expensive. I have a dealer I can drive to and pick up a bag for $240, but its an hour drive and Id have to pay sales tax. And I found another site that has bags for $249 with free shipping. But Id like to talk to BudGood and see what he has to say. Id prefer to buy from another cointalk member. Anyhow, Im waiting to hear from BudGood because his prices are in line with what Ive found. So I think Ill either talk to BudGood an see what he has to say, or Ill grab the $249 a bag with free shipping. That seems to be the best two prices Ive found. And I havent heard from anyone who buys these bags on a regular basis. Because if someone told me that they consistantly got good bags from a certain seller, Id look into it and even consider paying more if Im told I can expect better. Anyhow, Id like to hear from BudGood and see if we can work something out.

Wow, you have found far more wheaties than I have. Here is a picture from a few years back of all my wheaties all stacked up in stacks of 10. Starting on the left are the 09s through teens row..then the 20s row and so on. You can see most of my wheaties are from the 40s and 50s. Jim
