Just awesome! Fantastic coins and history. I was unaware of Khan coins. And some of those places I had to look up; never heard of 'em! Thanks to all!

Nothing as fantastic as some of those above, but I will take us to China, Guangxu Emperor (Qing dynasty) with a 1904 one cent out of the Kwang-Tung (a.k.a. Guangdong) province (Y# 192).

I think so to,not 100 percent sure though/ Tibet is a very large place. I used to collect butterflies and had hundreds of specimens from various Tibetan locals. Tibet is about the size of Alaska.
But, Ghazni Mint is situated in Afghanistan/ Khiva/ Bukhara/ Khoqand are in Uzbekistan/ Kirghizia/ Turkmenistan.

Ah, I was looking for Ghazi and came up blank so I used the whole Mongol Empire to play off of. Looked like that even at the peak of his rule, Ghengis never had control over Tibet.

I think that the whole Tibetan plateau is very high elevation, made up of many mountain ranges, not very friendly to mongol horsemen. Even, collectors of rare parnassius have a difficult time collecting there. Genghiz was more interested in China which had rich cities ripe for plunder. Eventually, under Ogatai they subdued most of Eastern Europe/ Russia/ Abbasid Caliphate.

Afraid that won't work. Was gonna attempt the Singapore-to-Australia leap myself, but there's no straight line of sea passage per the rules. Too many Indonesian islands in the way.
