If you are going to sell this to someone who knows their coin facts, you will get what it is worth, one cent.

Please read my post about why this cannot possibly be a Flying Eagle cent planchet - Zinc is showing. Flying Eagle cents were NOT made of zinc - their composition 88% copper and 12% nickel.

Seriously, man..... post less, read more.

I'm not trying to be mean here, but your assertion is utterly asinine at best and had you invested even a few moments into researching and/or even just read this very thread, you'd understand why.

The unfortunate fact is that you're not magically finding all sorts of highly valuable or unique coins each and every time you dig into your pocket. I wish you were and would happily congratulate you if this was the case, but it's not and aside from getting under people's skin, you're only helping to hurt serious individuals coming here to learn who stumble upon this nonsense.

If I've misinterpreted you have my apologies, but please take what I've said to heart and if serious, please help us help you by simply understanding this is a two-way street. If so confident in your assertions, it's time to make your case while providing independent evidence to back it up. If unable to do so, perhaps you should try actually listening to those trying to educate you.

We could even make this easier by simply suggesting he compare the cent in question to any other modern cent he may have lying around. If this one isn't substantially thicker, it ain't what he thinks.

    Yep.

I completely agree. To the OP, please research properly and back up your observations with facts.

You!.. You have to change your negative ways of responding and learn how to try to understand what we have been sharing with you.. 14 Months is not sufficient time to understand everything that there is to know about coins, the minting process and how error and varieties occur. Many of us have been doing this way longer than you have been alive. We are the specialists so all we desire is to honestly tell you what you have. Many times you just totally dismiss us especially me and that is no way of learning what you need to really know.

On one of your posts, you received a response from THE leading error dealer in the world. That's like having an MIT physicist help you with your algebra homework. I noticed he hasn't responded since

*Edited by moderator- please tone down your language and read the rules. What you said might pass on TV nowadays but it does not meet CoinTalk's "1950s television" standard. If you're really here to learn, try to be more civil. You'll make more friends.

    No points this time.

Also note that @Fred Weinberg is indeed the most recognized authority on error coins in the nation, if not the world.

@young mag I explained to you earlier in the topic why this cannot possibly be a Flying Eagle cent that has been overstruck by Lincoln cent dies. Please, review those posts carefully, along with every post in this topic made by me and other members.

We aren't paid anything to give you advice, we are all volunteers on a forum.

Also, the others are correct - Fred Weinberg is a well-renowned error coin expert.
