I’m not an error collector nor do I know anything about errors other than the obvious die strikes I’ve seen. This coin graded by NGC as a 70 RP shows several small blueish green blemishes on both sides. I only have a small magnifying glass so I was hoping someone on here could help me with my first question to the experts. Thanks in advance.
I'm not seeing any "errors" other than (debatably) the assigned grade, but that can likely be explained.
I don't see any "obvious" error besides the mint's lackluster QC on the obverse and the overrated grade in the slab.

Nothing wrong with that, but please don't hold NGC's questionable call against them. Unless they've somehow misrepresented the coin, they hold no responsibility for your displeasure.
No I’m not holding anything against NGC. Just trying to understand the reason for the grading. I thought it would affect the grade or was it something that got by all of the graders and those who handled the coin.
NGC rightfully deserves criticism (imo). It's the seller that doesn't. Unfortunately, we see a fair number of people who'll eagerly fault and/or punish sellers in cases where they've no culpability, so it's worth mentioning. What I'm seeing should have impacted the grade and I don't see as being likely the anomalies just happened to appear post-slabbing. To be nice we could simply call it a "mistake", but in truth it speaks to incompetence (again imo) even though this isn't to say or suggest NGC as a whole is incompetent. They (and all TPGs) simply need to demand more of their employees. Welcome to the forum, Ben.
2018? could have corroded in the slab, after it was graded, by being stored in a totally wrong place. better pics would help
I was told that by a friend today. The dealer is sending me a clean one later this week. I’ve bought from him many times in the past and I’m not upset with anyone actually. I’m just glad it’s resolved. The dealer is contacting NGC to make them aware of this. So all is good. Thank you everyone for your responses. Have a merry Christmas and happy holidays.
Awesome, and to you too, sir! It's always nice to hear of experiences where there's no dealer bashing. We see the opposite far too often and it only helps to give a negative and often self-defeating impression of them to newbies.
