Don't own a scale yet. I have a handful of 83's that i want to weigh but this one looks pretty convincing...
Ok.. When do you plan to purchase a gram scale? The suspense will kill me Or.. Take a popsicle stick. Make a see saw device. Put any Cent that is pre 1982 on one side and all your 1983's on the other. (One at a time of course) If the pre 1982 is heavier.. then your 1983's are 2.5 gram copper plated zinc.
Here is an example of what to do http://www.junksilverbook.com/3d-printed-penny-scale/ Link has a video
No.. I only hold my wife's hand.. But one day you might find somebody who will hold yours. Just trying to guide you buddy..
I myself sometimes put aside 1983 Cents that look like copper.. Weigh all of them! I know the difference also but hey.. You never know
I hear ya. But seeing that there are more known 1943 copper cents than 1983 ones, I never get my hopes up.
Copper cents will usually look like copper. This does not. My digital gram scale was less than $10 on Amazon, and I have been using it for years, thousands of times.
