Sounds like fun.. unfortunately, I just joined, although I've been using this site to reference some of my questions. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone receives.
Time for pics, A beautifully toned 1977 Half Dollar, 1964 Nickel, 1947-S Roosevelt Dime, and 1977-D Lincoln Cent And an awesome NGC MS-65 Buffalo Nickel which may get cracked out for my Dansco album.. Thank you S.S.... I don't know who you are, for now
That's a pretty buffalo. Looks like an older NGC slab. I wouldn't be so quick to crack it out of that. Having said that, I don't know slabs and what is what generation, and I'm sure it'll make a nice addition to your Dansco.
Agreed, the old no line fatty NGC holders are prized. I’m usually the one to say crack em out, but I’d leave that one alone.
Mine went out yesterday on my way to the airport for a family emergency. Mail being held until I get back. Not sure exactly when. Say prayers for my mother in law I seriously didn’t think she’d make it through last night
THANK YOU Secret Santa, I will thoroughly enjoy sharing them with the group now. fronts by ACoinJob posted Dec 15, 2018 at 7:19 AM backs by ACoinJob posted Dec 15, 2018 at 7:18 AM 2 coins, wow!!
My gift has been shipped out. My recipient will receive it before Christmas. I wonder if he/she will open it right away or wait?
I checked my PO Box last night and it had a gift from my Secret Santa!! I won't be opening it right away, not sure if I will be able to hold out until Christmas though. I will be shipping my gift to it's recipient on Monday, should arrive well before Christmas.
My gift is packed and ready to ship. Will go out on Monday with plenty of time to spare...just has to travel up the river a couple states.
While I did not participate this year I think I am going to start planning for next, this all looks like good fun! Perhaps I will send out peace dollar or somthing.
Good to see that you are still around as well Ken! Hmm, we will see about the the hoops, but I never miss a Secret Santa!
Hello Carlton, Good to see you are still around too! Speaking of Hoops one of these coins should look familiar. Had to go back to 2012 PM's to remember which one it was from. The two coins in the worst condition in this set have the most meaning.
Glad that 20 cent piece found a good home! I have a few pieces in my type set as well from various people on the forums and they are always the best no matter how worn they are.
Not me, but I tip my hat to that generous person. I agree that you shouldn't crack that vintage NGC slab. It might be worth a premium to some collectors. A nice flashy late-date Buffalo for your Dansco is easy enough to find.
