A coin if not just about anything is worth what a person is willing to pay for it...NO MORE AND DEFINATELY NO LESS
I give money to my kids for free, but I value it more, they pay less (none), and use it to spend more.
Indeed. Based upon past interactions with him, his issue seems to largely revolve around price guides. While I understand his frustration, promoting the notion that a coin is only worth what you'll pay for it is exceedingly poor advice, at least without properly qualifying his statement. Of course I'm not telling you anything you're not perfectly aware of; my issue is those who don't know any better and come here for solid real world advice. There's nothing wrong with certain coins selling at a level well beyond what we personally find reasonable, but this doesn't mean they're overpriced and/or not "worth" the money others are paying.
