    What kind of stuff do you have that's more quantity over quality? An excessive amount. Thousands of one coin type. What coins do you hoard? Pictures would be lovely...

    I have over 100 of the '57 t0 '67 Mexican silver Pesos. Only .100 fine and mostly toned and tarnished, though a few still in mint packaging.
    I have another tub of everything else Mexican, from 5 Centavo silver coins up to Cien Pesos silver coins and most everything in between.
    I have a 1 Gallon Tabasco sauce jug full of '59 to '81 copper cents.
    I have numerous Coffee-Mate containers of pennies marked Unsearched, Unsearched '83 + , Unsearched '81 -, Unsearched rolls, Ready to Roll(searched), errors, tones, NAs (non aligned), etc..
    I have a USPS box of Canadian slabs and boxed commemoratives.
    I have a Coffee-Mate tub of Canadian everything else from dimes to dollars.
    I have a large number? of Austrian 5 and 10 Schilling coins. ( I like the horse on one and the maiden on the other.)
    I have tubs for many different countries, none of which are full...yet.

    The fact is, almost everything I have fits in the "quantity" category rather than the "quality" one.

    However, I do have a few in the Quality category. One is an Italian 1 Marengo Isola D'Elba silver coin.
    1971-marengo-isola-elba-italy-silver-159630217

    From the link :

    " Obverse

    ITALIA

    Sunface in order chain.

    Reverse

    ISOLA D'ELBA

    1 MARENGO

    Design is of the Isle of Elba.

    Interestingly enough, this coin is listed in the Colin R. Bruce II catalog of

    Unusual World Coins - it is listed as X# Tn11 - Isola D'Elba

    But the listing is incorrect - in the catalog it states that the date for this coin is ND1998 (meaning, No Date, and date of issuance is 1998), but it is actually from 1971;

    The reverse design is also incorrect , it states;

    Castle with eight shields, name above. The only coin of this series that actually has that particular design is; ASIAGO, ITALY X# Tn11, and is the only one listed that shows a picture.

    The value listed in the UWC catalog would be correct, as this coin is so rare and hard to find:

    $65.00 in BU condition. "

    I've looked it up on the Numista site before but can't find it there now. If I remember correctly, it has a NRI (Numista Rarity Index) of 85.
    I like it a lot.

    I have a mint bag of 1995 cents that has never been searched for the DDO. It's only been 23 years. Someday I'll search it.

    Overall though I have more Kennedy halves than anything else. NIFC's, minor toning, die cracks etc. And a pile of older worn out nickels. The other thing we hoard is unopened MWR of random coins.

    My hoard of copper cents is small in comparison to @Pres in RVA and @Amos 811 -- almost 50,000 rolled. Mine were saved prior to 1982. Haven't figured out what to do with them, but if I end up in a wheel chair, searching them for errors, etc., is a possibility.

    LOL. That must take a forklift to move.....if you ever do.

    My Coffee-Mate tubs are heavy enough as they are, filled with pennies. I used to search, separate, then roll the "rejects" each day, then I slowed down on that process, and now I have stopped searching altogether and the "unsearched" tubs are building up.
    Between my family, my part-time job, my eBay searching, and Coin Talk......I have no time left. lol

    I just received a '34 Peso of the same type in the mail this morning. It's about the same condition. I got it for less than melt, and since I usually buy more than one item from each seller, the shipping costs spread out among the items, and so I'm still under melt on this one.

    That's my goal : Collect silver, in the form of coins, as cheaply as possible, and any good numismatic results are simply considered a bonus.

    these are all copper ones, the zinc i search real well before turning them in. I will search these 16 5 gallon pals once they stop making cents altogether, or I stop buying more to look through...
