I am having a hard time NOT buying these PCGS Proof 69 DCAM Jeffersons. Got this one today for $5.00 shipped. Second one in 10 days. I just think they are PURDY. I know they probably won't increase much in value, but at my age I am not using them for investment but to add to my collection just purely for the pleasure of it. God Bless all.
The only problem is the difference between coins and wives. You can buy a new coin to upgrade your set, THEN sell the old one. Try that with wives and it's a crime...
Correct men are from Mars and women are from that thing way far out there that they don't even consider a planet any longer!
For $5 a pop, you really can't go wrong. I mean, she probably spends that much on a grande latte from Starbux.
When my wife tells me that my coin inventory is getting out of hand I respond with two words..... “Shoe closet”..... That usually does the trick.... Not to mention earning me a night or so sleeping on the sofa.
Lovely pickups Gunny.........the wife (mine) allows me my 'head', God Bless her. 45 years and onward........
I've known my current "significant other" for ~40 years, and would share any details of a purchase with her including the fact that several scarce CAC coins were given to her when she indicated an appreciation for a coin I'd purchased after a lengthy search. We would share everything, and life has been wonderful. JMHO
My first wife and I actually DID attend a coin show the day after we got married. As for needing an intervention, she's also the one who later asked me, "But Sweetheart, didn't they make those coins any year but that (1827 bust halves)?". What? Doesn't everyone honeymoon in Long Beach?
Looking back over my post, yes, it does appear that we might have split up... Actually, we had 27 great years together before she passed in 2005.
