I have quite a few Franklin beauts but many fall below your lofty goal of MS65. Good luck!

Same as every year, to try and get one more early date variety for my large cents. (And with the EAC convention only being 60 miles away from me this year I think I may succeed.) It shouldn't be too hard, there are still 4 R-1 coins on my want list.

I plan to leave my current job to concentrate on numismatics full time if all goes well.

I probably won't buy many coins in 2019. I'm going on a massive vacation that will cost a significant sum, and won't leave much room in the budget for coins. After the trip, I plan on saving a huge sum to purchase some dream coins. At my current savings rate, that will probably be in 2020.

Continue to collect USA 2019-dated coins in sets up through the silvers. Other precious metals are too rich for my blood. On my eBay purchases, continue to purchase nice sets and singles that are priced right, whatever is offered and if I like it, I buy it.

My goal is to get 1832, 1833, and 1836 quarters in VG-VF to finish my small diameter capped bust quarter date set. Admittedly the first two are relatively scarcer dates, but I’ll see what I can do.

Finish getting rid of all of my US coins and avoid buying them like the plague.

Does that mean you will quit the constant uninvited bashing and complaining about U.S. Coins and get out of the forum with your unhealthy dose of negativity?

We get it. You don't like U.S. Coins Typecoin- and you're entitled to that opinion, but you're in a forum specifically created for the discussion of U.S. Coins. Other people here enjoy them and collect them.

Do you think it would go down well if I joined a Ford discussion forum and started bashing Ford and talking about how Ford is overpriced and sucks, and how Chevy is better?

Hoping to finish my date set of capped bust halves, after that i'm not sure, maybe focus on large cents for a while.

I like US coins. I hate the commoditization of the market and how there is no consistency in the finer points in grading. The healthiest thing for me is to abandon US coin collecting altogether. That way I don’t have to worry about whether or not the TPG gods would approve of every single thing I buy.

And the only reason no one likes me here is because I point out uncomfortable logic holes in the market and defend my stance that they are illogical. If people chose to ignore them and hide behind the PCGS gods, then that is their problem.

No, Typecoin, you're wrong. Check your PM's. I'm not going to discuss this in the open out of respect.

Haha, that's one of the reasons I like you. You aren't afraid to ask uncomfortable questions. I might not agree with everything you post, but I enjoy arguing with you.

If there are those that don't like you, it's because you are so negative about everything.

+he's a hypocrit. Hates everything about u.s. coins (especially how expensive they are) but has no qualms about taking advantage of those same things to make a profit (and brags about it). Then demeans his buyers by coming on here and bad mouthing u.s. coins. One of my favorite guys! :yack::yuck:

I’m working on an Indian $2.50 album in a slabbed and particular non-MS grade. Totally out of my realm with these but jumped right into them following my quarter album completion… I’m realizing I’ll never be able to put “collecting” on hold but am slightly frustrated with myself for getting into this series, basically, blind.

The examples acquired so far appear to be pretty consistently graded but there are some obvious anomalies in terms of eye appeal. My target coin (particular TPG and grade) is certainly fetching a premium in the marketplace at the moment. Availability has been an issue. The only coin which does not seem to garner a premium in this series is the 1911-D (strong) which appears to have been slipping in value for some time. It’s also readily available. Hoping to have this album wrapped up in 2019 but may run into an issue finding certain dates in the grade I’m after.

Add ~8-10 more us type coins for my virtual 7070 and sprinkle in a few cool world coins that catch my eye.

Things change but right now top of my want list:

    - capped bust half
    - braided hair 1/2C
    - classic head 1/2C
    - flying eagle cent
    - capped bust half dime
    - type 1 and 3 g$1
    - $3
    - trade dollar
    - both $20s

Let’s see how many of those I can check off.

I’m going to complete — well, almost complete — a slabbed set of $2.50 Indians graded AU58 through MS64. For now, I’m going to foresake the 1911-D. All I lack is a 1912. Great set to put together!
