Something tells me I'm not seeing the forest through the trees. I'm stumped.

the bottom of Lincoln, i see a letter g like it was a remnant of a different coin stamped prior.

I'm probably grasping at straws here, but it looks like the top of the reverse rim may have been filed, and the prong of the Trueview holder above 'UNUM' is hiding a possible rim bump.

Nope. It's simple. Hint: Focus on the label

I just realized. It's not actually FS-402. PCGS mislabeled it.

Shouldn't the grade be stated as PR65CA?

No. I believe the coin was mislabeled and does not possess the long, thin lapel on the bust of Lincoln required for the FS-402 designation.

Screenshot_2018-12-08-00-21-10.png Nailed it.... and for comparison, here's a screenshot from PCGS coinfacts of a FS 402.

I've checked through past auction sales. Interestingly, PCGS uses both PR65CAM and PR65RD CAM on labels. And, they use PR65CA in Coin Facts and the pop report. So, take your choice.

I'm out of my depth here, but if the Coinfacts photo for FS 402 is correct, then the ebay coin is not an FS 402.

Part two: The coin itself is in fact a variety, just not the Only CAM 402 as promoted by the seller (James Sego) that btw has not responded to my questioning the listing.

In fact the coin is the FS-101 DDO and worth around $100 bucks in PR 65 CAM.
