Any new coins coming out that I should be paying attention to?

I don't generally care much for modern US coinage, but I like the innovation dollar's design a lot. The obverse is particularly interesting because it's almost anepigraphic. The reverse cracks me up because one of the gears looks like the Aperture Science logo from Portal. I may buy a roll or two just for the novelty of passing them out to people.

I'm with you @V. Kurt Bellman on buying some rolls and pieces for that. Maybe not for the same reason, but I actually really like the design which I guess I am in the minority on.

Might snag a proof or two if they're cheap enough (since I find the mirrored fields look surprisingly better than I imagined) but otherwise not real interested. I don't own any golden presidents either. I do get a $NA in my silver proof set every year, so I got that going for me...

 

Darn! I was so hoping for a P&D mixed bag. I own all the Prezzies in every mint and finish. People who were refuseniks make me smile. I buy bags of San Francisco circulation strike ATB quarters, too.

 

Differences are what make a market .

I see some of the presidentials are doing well (I'm looking at you, 2012!) but my limited budget prevents me from taking in everything that gushes from the Mint's fire hose. So when it comes to moderns, I mostly limit myself to silver.

I've always thought those San Fran ATB's had potential. One thing the Mint is really sneaky good at is exploiting the OCD nature of collectors. A coin every completest needs that can only be bought in bags or rolls. Brilliant! But I'm happy collecting my San Fran silver proof ATB's.

 

Guess I'll be waiting for one of the spring shows to pick up my single P and D Unc example to keep my date/mint sets complete.

 

Well, there are a few you should be looking to get and, a few that are extremely over-rated presently. The 2017 10 coin Enhanced Finish set is a great buy and collectible. As for 2018, although the 10 coin set is nice, ONLY the Native dollar, Jefferson Nickel and Lincoln cent are the most desirable and rare. Yes, this is the first time for the 5 Park quarters too yet, they are 2nd to the above 3. Even the Kennedy Half with a Light Finish is collectible yet, it appears the Light Finish may be nearly half of the mintage so, still collectible but, 2014 had a Reverse Kennedy that is the first ever. Back to the Lincoln cent though, it is the "rarest" cent (surpassing the 1909 S vdb) and, in PF 70...is even rarer and not being sought as much presently. The Nickel is next and very rare too. So, here are your choices I suggest...go get'em!
