(When in Rome...) Here's a recent Hadrian/Pegasus middle bronze buy: And here are a couple Hadrians from Antioch:
And @lordmarcovan please check my math, but, I think this gets us caught up with images of everyone on the list up to Hadrian (...even if a few are a bit out of order). Vespasian II, AE17 of Smyrna, Ionia. struck 94-95. 2.32 gr. OYHCPACIANOC NEOTEROC bare-head of Vespasian II right / SMYRNAION, Nike advancing right, holding palm branch. BMC 316; RPC II 1028; Vagi 1164; Klose XLII, 5. (Borrowed from wild winds)
Domitilla II. AR denarius, posthumous issue, struck under Domitian. 3.14g. Cohen 2; RSC 2; RIC 150 var (aureus only and obv. legend); Paris 137 (Titus).
Sorry for any perceived skulldugery. Since no one had posted this and had moved on (outside of the OPs guidelines) I borrowed this pick from wild winds... I mean, if I owned one of these it would be a deal and all but...
Ah, that Shiftless-Ne'er-Do-Well strikes again! A wily radical of a person! Regardless, I will interject with my "Dog's Breakfast" of: HADRIAN: RI Hadrian, AD 117-138 Æ Limes Denarius 18mm 3.5mm after AD 125 Genius stndg sacrificing altar cornucopia RIC II 173 RI Hadrian AR Quinarius 1.3g, 14mm Rome, AD 119-122 cuirassed laureate COS III Victory seated wreath palm RIC 108a RI Hadrian 117-138 AR Quinarius Victory holding palm RI Hadrian 117-138 AR Denarius Salus stdg feeding Snake
I would never call your Hadrian a "dog's breakfast"! Dogs eat way better than that Hadrian AR-Denarius Roma throne 117-138 2,86g,
Sorry for not participating in this or posting very much on CT in general, but Life has been much busier for me this past half-year. Of course, I’m still around enjoying all the threads.
Dear @lordmarcovan - establisher and benefactor of this almost viral thread. We are at another big juncture here in the history of the empire between Hadrian and A.Pius. I know far less than most of you about the history behind these coins. I was thinking that it would be cool as a part of the game for every coin or personage represented the poster adds one or more unique anecdotes about the person or back history, the story of the individual. then we also have a running thread of a deeper history and relevance. just an idea.......?
