Did a box of halves... Man what a skunk run. So many boxes! Losing interest, TBH. One NIFC, a ratty 2005D, and one with a hole in it (yeah, that desperate!)

Searched an NF String box of halves just now - skunk on silver. But I did find my 2nd 1982-P “No FG” and another 1974-D DDO, plus 9 NIFCs. They make up for the lack of silver, I guess. Have one last box for this week to search, a Loomis. Hoping for some white rims!

Searched a few rolls this week:
    20 Halves - 1x64P
    100 Dimes - 2x46P Rosies
    80 Nickels - 36P Buff

Not great, but still fun to search and find something.

Circumstances only let me do 3 rolls yesterday.
Got a pretty good 1956D. Looking at my rolls of copper which are to go back into the wild. Apparently on some of them I was little too quick to condemn them. It'll all work out.

Ever seen any run down half dollars marked? I used to mark them with the current date.

Yes, I have seen worn down halves with dates written on them in black Sharpie.

Found this 1983 Obverse die chip the other day. It's a small one and the 8 took a hit but I'll keep it! IMG_6669.JPG fullsizeoutput_df5.jpeg

    $12.50 CWR Cents: 46, 53-D, 55-D, 57-D, 58-D, and 257 copper cents

    $150 CWR Nickels: 45-P war nickle and 39, 40 (x2), 42, 46 (x2), 47, 48, 48-D, 49, 52 (x2), 53, 55, 57-D (x3), 58-D (x2), 59, 59-D (x4)

$450 CWR Dimes: 46 Roosie plus a 61 and two 63s one of my favorite tellers saved for me.

I've also been getting a surprising range of foreign coin in my picks this week. Here's a sample of the ones that were photogenic enough to hold back.

My one bank is still privately owned and not affiliated with any national chain, as being in a small town. As a member for 50 plus years, I get a few nice privileges. I purchase all bags of coins from the Coin Counter (cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters). I roll them and sell them back to the bank. (Saving them money from buying coins from Lummus or Brinks). I usually get a couple bags of cents a month. Nickels and dimes, a bag every couple months. Quarters, sometimes 3 bags a month. I buy them for face and have had this perk for over 10 years. I find nickels regularly (Mostly a few impaired proofs, pre 1960 S coins, and War Nickels on a frequent basis) I keep. Rarely any silver from the dimes and quarters. However, the cents produce nice finds regularly. Last week I hit the best $50.00 face bag I have encountered. Out of $50.00, $10.00 face wheat cents. A few of the better dates pulled:1909(1), 1910(4), 1911(4), 1911D(1),1912(3), 1912D(1), 1913(2), 1916D(2), 1916S(2), 1917D(3), 1917S(2), 1918D(1), 1918S(1), 1920S(1), 1921(2), 1925S(2), 1926D(1), 1926S(1), 1927D(1), 1927S(1), 1929S(1), 1930D(2), 1931(4), 1931D(1), 1932(2), 1932D(2), 1933(1), 1936S(2)&MS-63(1), plus many uncirculated 40's and 50's! A few pictures as well. IMG_0947.JPG IMG_0948.JPG IMG_0949.JPG IMG_0950.JPG

I finished my box that Trish will buy tomorrow.
This 'Fed' box wasn't as good as they have been.
I'm beginning to run low on copper for the wild.
Getting low on clean shiny shield pennies for end of stacks.
I may get a box of whatever they have at People's Bank and then go get $10 worth at our bank. Maybe I'll get rolls of 2017 or 2018 from our bank.

And that's the state of my penny hunting.

Continuing to work on my small dollar collection. Bought $500 of MWRs today and found around 8 NIFC Presidentials that I needed for my backup folders. Found 3 NIFC Sacs. Also found some good SBAs including 1981-D&S NIFCs, and these 3 pictured:
    • 1979-P Wide Rim/Near Date
    • 1979-D Gold Plated (I know - worth $1, but my first)
    • 1981-S Type 1 (rounded S) Impaired Proof
    Fun stuff!
