Perhaps ads like this are precisely why the State AG Josh Shapiro, the same guy who ripped the Catholic Church child sex abuse scandal wide open, is now advertising for a staff economist to investigate price gouging consumer fraud cases. Caveat emptor doesn’t fly under this administration.

 

Meh. To me, "price gouging" means sticking it to people who don't have a choice -- trying to buy gas to evacuate, trying to buy water after a natural disaster, and the like. Marking up shiny trinkets, without lying about them? I'd rather see regulators spend their attention elsewhere.

This coin is about as far away from a monster as possible. It is a cheap widget that cost a few bucks that somebody messed with, resulting in the blue abortion that you claim to own. That coin is not market acceptable, doesn't belong in problem free plastic, and I would personally pay $10 so that I could throw it in the damn ocean to rid the world of it permanently.

 

1) They're an Ohio seller, and as such, the only POSSIBLE, but not existing, jurisdiction would be to force the seller to collect PA sales tax.
2) It is irrelevant to the subject at issue.
3) USNAFguy has openly admitted he altered the color of a coin in a NGC PF70 holder and will attempt to sell it again.
4) It IS ALREADY fraud per se, because NGC has altered the registration status.
5) If he cracks it out, while that's okay with SOME people, it's not okay with me. Not for the purpose of hiding what it is. That has fraud written all over it.
6) The Ohio consumer fraud department needs a phone call, badly.
